About Our Client
Our client is a well-established national provider of property maintenance, refurbishment, and building services, delivering projects across sectors including healthcare, education, defence, commercial, social housing, and public sector estates.
Due to continued growth, they are seeking experienced Joiners to join their team, delivering high-quality refurbishment and maintenance works throughout the Catterick region.
Overview of the Role
As a Joiner, you will be responsible for carrying out a wide range of first and second fix carpentry and joinery works across refurbishment, maintenance, and fit-out projects. Working independently and as part of a wider delivery team, you will ensure all work is completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out first and second fix joinery on refurbishment, maintenance, and fit-out projects.
- Install kitchens, doors, door frames, skirting boards, architraves, flooring, window boards, and associated joinery items.
- Undertake partitioning, boxing-in, general carpentry repairs, and maintenance works.
- Install and adjust ironmongery, locks, and door furniture.
- Complete all works in accordance with project specifications, quality standards, and health and safety requirements.
- Work effectively both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Liaise professionally with site supervisors, clients, residents, and other trades.
- Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas in a safe, clean, and organised condition.
- Ensure work is completed within agreed timescales while maintaining a high standard of workmanship.
Skills & Experience
Essential
- NVQ Level 3 in Carpentry & Joinery (or equivalent), or qualified through time-served experience.
- Proven experience carrying out refurbishment, maintenance, or fit-out joinery works.
- Competent in both first and second fix carpentry and joinery.
- Full UK Driving Licence.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality workmanship.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Good communication and problem-solving skills.
- Strong understanding of health and safety requirements within the construction industry.
Desirable
- CSCS Card.
- Experience working within healthcare, education, defence, commercial, social housing, or public sector environments.
- Multi-trade experience would be advantageous.
