Contract Manager – Construction

Responsibilities
- Manage and oversee contracts from initial negotiation through to completion, ensuring compliance with contractual obligations and company standards.
- Coordinate with project teams, clients, and subcontractors to facilitate smooth communication and issue resolution.
- Review and interpret contractual documentation, legal clauses, and project specifications to mitigate risks and maximise project success.
- Ensure timely progress payments, variations, and claims are processed accurately and within set deadlines.
- Monitor project progress and perform regular audits to ensure contractual terms are being upheld.
- Support the negotiation of terms in new contracts and amendments, collaborating closely with stakeholders.
- Keep abreast of legal and industry developments to advise the team accordingly and ensure compliance.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Contracts Manager within the construction sector.
- Strong understanding of construction contracts, legal principles, and project management processes.
- Excellent organisational and communication skills, with the ability to build strong working relationships.
- Detail-oriented with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, managing multiple contracts simultaneously.
- Relevant qualifications in Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, or a related field are desirable.
